The Models

Every small picture is linked to larger ones; opens in new windows.

The models come from different places. I use both ready-to-run prdoducts and kits aswell as I scratch bulid others.

Ready-to-run are mainly dump cars and chassies from ROCO. They are a little overdimensioned even for S but work well as trucks for other kinds of waggons.

Small train with tippers, passenger car and locoThe kits this far are only a couple of dump cars from Parside Dundas in England, originally manufactured for 009 gauge. They thereby are somewhat too large for H0 as even in 009. But in S they really are close to exact scale, the differences are small.

My home-made passenger car from the 1914 car My home-made passenger car from the 1914 carThe scratch built cars are first my own interpretation of the 1914 passenger car from Bosjöbanan. It's built completely out of wood and I have used dump car chassies från Parkside Dundas as trucks. I've used scale wood from Northeastern; possibly the car is too light but can be weighted.

Small train with wood waggon, passenger car and locoThe other scratch built kits comes from a man in the middle of Sweden. He had, by a fortunate coincidence, made a few models in S scale on H09 rolling stock. They are flat cars and some special cars, mainly based on ROCO dump car chassies.

Small train outside the engine shedThis man also had made a small gas loco, which made it possible to test the track for the first time.

The Engine shed is built in scale wood from North Eastern. It also contains a small blacksmith. The shed will be painted red and get green windows. I've made the windows in my computer and printed them out on Over Head film on my inkjet color printer, looks quite all right! Below are some pictures on the engine shed, an interpretation of the shed at Bosjön.

Track Layout

The track is only one module, measuring c. 1.2 x 0.4 meters. Boards of Treetex is screwed to a wooden frame. This Treetex terrain has been shaped and will get cover, bushes and trees eventually. The track will also be ballasted. The small (30 mm diameter) turntable will be placed a little bit in front of the engine shed. Just below the right switch, a shed for fire wood will be built. The station house is a future project, not priority one right now, but maybe later...?

The pictures below show the track layout of the module and placing of it's buildings. Click the pink dots to open some pictures from the module (ca 10 kb each), plus a live picture from the remaining foundation of the Bosjön depot (ca 30 kb). Compare that picture with this historical one.

Please note that the pictures opens in new windows (and that it's no pro' photographer that has been taking the pictures...). Sorry for the Swedish in the pictures but I guess you get the picture :-)
